Methyl BSA Competitive Inhibitor

Catalog # Pack Size Price(USD)
ICP0504 5mg $275.00

Quantity:

Product Description
This product is BSA with methylated lysine residues (MeK). The signal of proteins with methylated lysine can be competitively inhibited by 50 µg/mL of these conjugates. There is no inhibition when this inhibitor is used in the presence of 3% BSA.
Formulation
5 mg/mL in PBS
Applications
Specific inhibition study: 50 µg/mL
Scientific Description
MeK is a conserved post-translational modification and is an important biochemical process for many protein-protein interactions. It is found in many proteins, for example calmodulin, cytochrome B, chromosomal proteins, non-histones as well as neural storage body proteins. It has been suggested that methylation of lysine plays an important role in gene silencing. [1-3]
Storage & Stability
Product is stable for several weeks at 4°C. For extended storage, aliquot content and store product at –20ºC. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Expiration date is one year from date of shipping if properly stored.
