Product Description
This product is BSA with trimethylated lysine residues. The signal of proteins with trimethylated lysine can be competitively inhibited by 50 µg/mL of these conjugates but not by 3% BSA.
Formulation
5 mg/mL in PBS, 50% glycerol
Applications
Specific Inhibition Study - 50µg/mL or 1:40
Scientific Description
In the biosynthetic pathway of 1-carnitine, epsilon-N-trimethyl-lysine hydroxylase is the first enzyme that catalyzes the formation of beta-hydroxy-N-epsilon-trimethyl-lysine from epsilon N-trimethyl-lysine. This reaction is dependent on alpha-ketoglutarate, Fe2+, and oxygen.
Storage & Stability
Product is stable for several weeks at 4°C. For extended storage, store product at –20ºC. Expiration date is one year from date of shipping if properly stored.
