Description: AKT (PKB) is a family kinase, which is responsive to the cell activation. The anti-Akt phosphor ser473 antibodies were raised with an antigen peptide based on sequence of human Akt1 C-terminal with the phosphor-site at ser473 and affinity purified with the same peptide followed by adsorption with the non-phospho peptide on the agarose. The affinity purified antibodies were useful for detection of the Akt kinase with phosphorylation site at ser473 only, not cross-react with the non-phosphorylated Akt.

Species: Rabbit

Formulation: 250 µg/mL in PBS, 50% glycerol

Storage & Stability: Store product at –20 0C. One year from date of shipping

Immunogen: Phosphorylated prptide (ser473) based Human Akt c-terminal sequence.

Purification: Antigen-specific chromatography plus non-specific adsorption

Application(s): ELISA, Westernblot, IHC

Specificity: Recognize phosphorylated Akt on serine 473. There is no cross-reaction with the non-phosphorylated Akt

Scientific Description: Akt is also known as protein kinase B (PKB). It is an important molecule in mammalian cellular signaling. It inhibits apoptotic processes and is involved in cellular survival pathways. It also induces protein synthesis pathways
